Somebody Pay the Piano Player so He'll Finish the Tune

In my twenties I drove with three friends up the Alaska Highway from Edmonton, Alberta, to Dawson City, Yukon, a distance of approximately 2,500 km. It was summertime and in "The Land of the Midnight Sun" the sun never dipped below the horizon. The Yukon is totally captivating, especially Dawson City, with so much history and excitement packed into such a short space of time.

The whole atmosphere of the place is what inspired my tune "Somebody Pay the Piano Player so He'll Finish the Tune." Filmmaker Alan Borecki subsequently found vintage footage about Dawson City from an archive in England.
